Evidenced-based practice (EBP) is an essential component of the practice of a BSN-prepared RN because as a professional nurse, the nurse must be able to appraise and apply knowledge to enhance the science of nursing and promote better patient outcomes (Abu-Baker et al., 2021). Two ways I will continue to integrate evidence into my practice and encourage it within my work environment will be to research current EBP regularly and participate in applying them when the opportunities present themselves. Steps I can take to minimize the impact of these challenges include mentoring other nurses into becoming additional charge nurses and subscribing to prestigious nurse journals.
